“How can we promote a culture where being quiet, observant, thoughtful and contemplative strikes a balance with being a doer, entrepreneur, mover and shaker?”. Edith Ackerman.
TICTAC is a research interest group that focuses on exploring research questions around the design, development, and assessment of digital technology-based experiences to support and advocate for children’s well-being, growth, education and equal access to resources. We aim to develop new knowledge around child-computer interaction and contribute to a more conscious research environment.
We address topics that are time sensitive in order to encourage a cultural shift that allows children the opportunity to control and shape their growth as human beings.
Our main goal is to design and implement digital technology-based practices that can empower children to be more active and become active citizens in shaping the digital society.
