STARS award winner 3 times over

Cohort 1 STARS student Jasmine Burr-Hersey has been awarded the University of Nottingham Graduate Travel Prize and $1000 from the International Union of Soil Science (IUSS), towards her trip to Brazil for the World Congress of Soil Science. This is on top of her BSSS award, mentioned in a previous STARS news item. The Nottingham prize is a prestigious and notoriously hard to secure prize due to the very high number of applicants and limited number of awards. The IUSS grant is one of only a small number to be awarded worldwide, so she faced tough competition to secure it. This is a tremendous achievement for Jasmine, we wish her every success in Rio and look forward to hearing about her experiences there on her return.
