{"id":539,"date":"2022-02-04T12:11:46","date_gmt":"2022-02-04T12:11:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wp.lancs.ac.uk\/physics-bulletin\/?p=539"},"modified":"2022-02-04T12:11:46","modified_gmt":"2022-02-04T12:11:46","slug":"physics-friday-bulletin-2022-02-04","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wp.lancs.ac.uk\/physics-bulletin\/2022\/02\/04\/physics-friday-bulletin-2022-02-04\/","title":{"rendered":"Physics Friday Bulletin 2022-02-04"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Water Hygiene Testing<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p> Facilities have informed us they will be  undertaking temperature checks in the Physics Department on the 10th&nbsp;February  2022, starting at 9am. <br \/>\nTwo AEC engineers will require access to  kitchens and shared bathrooms to test hot water temperatures.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>The  engineers will not test every kitchen\/bathroom just a sample from different  locations within the building.&nbsp; This brief survey will take approximately  five minutes, and is to ensure that the hot water is maintained at the correct  temperature to prevent any instances of legionella. There will be no shutdown  of service.<\/p>\n<p>  If you have any queries regarding the timing  of the work please contact Facilities Helpdesk as soon as possible, <a href=\"mailto:facilities.helpdesk@lancaster.ac.uk\">facilities.helpdesk@lancaster.ac.uk<\/a> 01524 593333<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shonah Ion<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Ubertechs in Lancaster Closed<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>I&#8217;m sorry to say that Ubertechs will be closing its doors with immediate  effect.I started the business back in 2005 carrying out home PC repairs and in  2011 we became an Apple Authorised Service Provider, carrying out both in and  out of warranty repairs for Apple.Covid hit the business hard but also Apple  changed our contract and increased the minimum number of warranty repairs we  had to complete drastically. <\/p>\n<p>  That coupled with the many whinging customers, wanting repairs done for  nothing, or complaining our prices are too high, more than Apple etc, has led  to where we are today. You are required to provide customs data  electronically in addition to the physical customs declaration (CN22 or CN23). Line managers  should then record these on People XD as soon as possible upon receipt of  either a negative or positive, lateral flow or PCR test result.
