\nTwo AEC engineers will require access to kitchens and shared bathrooms to test hot water temperatures. <\/p>\n
The engineers will not test every kitchen\/bathroom just a sample from different locations within the building. This brief survey will take approximately five minutes, and is to ensure that the hot water is maintained at the correct temperature to prevent any instances of legionella. There will be no shutdown of service.<\/p>\n

The new online ethics application system ‘REAMS<\/a>’ (Research Ethics Application Management System) which was launched initially for FASS and LUMS on 23rd August 2021 <\/strong>will launch for all Faculties from 1 November 2021. <\/strong> <\/strong>REAMS aims <\/strong>to streamline the ethical approval process for applicants. <\/p>\n The REAMS platform introduces a new process of ethical self-review where applicants complete a series of questions to identify the risk level of their proposed research project. The interactive programme leads applicants from one question to the next, so that only tailored questions which follow previous answers will appear. The system can determine if your project is low-risk and thus able to receive ethical approval without a review by your Faculty Research Ethics Committee (FREC).
