So here is what I know.
Space – there isn’t enough of it. The only space we have now for sitting people at desks is in the old Engineering building. There are 12 desks in A98, the room previously occupied by Space & Planetary science, we have at least 3 new PhD students in there currently, and 1 desk in A51 a 10 seat room. When we get the refurbished phase II returned to us we will have another large (35 seat) post graduate area which should allow everyone to have a little more breathing space for visitors and summer students. But until then it is going to be tight.
The ventilation in the inner labs of the eastern end of phase 1 has failed – see above note.

Shonah Ion

Kitchen area in Science & Technology building

Works are due to begin on the 7th November for 6 weeks to make a kitchen area in A95 that we will be able to use.

Shonah Ion

Rubbish removal

The debris that has appeared in the corridors since we have moved into phase 1 is not acceptable. Please take your rubbish to the large bins on the perimeter road. If you need help to move it there trollies available.

Shonah Ion

Use the main door for entrance & exiting

Please do not use the fire exits to leave the building.
