On Thursday 3rd January 2019 the certificate* that enables secure access to eduroam wi-fi for staff and students at Lancaster University will change.<\/p>\n
To continue to access wi-fi from the 3rd January you will have to reset your eduroam connection using the new certificate.<\/strong><\/p>\n See link below:<\/p>\n http:\/\/www.lancaster.ac.uk\/iss\/news\/2018\/wifi-change\/<\/a><\/p>\n You may want to put the above date in your work\/personal calendar as a reminder to make this change.<\/p>\n Rob Lewsey<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n It has been brought to my attention that some of the view panels in offices & lab doors have been obscured.<\/p>\n View panels have many benefits, they enable people outside to see if the occupant is in difficulty, i.e. unwell or an accident, so help can be summoned. They enable the fire brigade or porters to check easily for signs of fire. In the event on an incident in a lab , the situation can be assessed before entering the lab. They enable the occupants to see the exit is clear of danger during an evacuation. They let more daylight into the inner building and they provide some measure of reassurance for student and staff safeguarding.<\/p>\n We recognise that some labs do require the light entering the lab (or possibly exiting) to be restricted but, if this is not the case, the above benefits hold true.
