Note unusual location. Please ensure all new members of staff attend.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shonah Ion<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Emergency Lighting Works<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>We have been informed by Facilities of the following works Emergency Lighting Testing in the Physics Building will take place week commencing 27th August \u00a0from 9am daily.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shonah Ion<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Metal Cupboards available<\/h2>\n<p>We have a number of low metal lockable cupboards available (100cm wide, 47 cm deep, 70 cm high, 1 adjustable shelf), suitable for use in an office or lab environment. They are currently in B71 if you want to take a look. There are also some lockers if you&#8217;d like them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shonah Ion<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Free Metal Drawers<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>We have a set of metal drawers that we wish to get rid of if anyone wants them. They are the old, grey type but still in good condition and have the key with them. Please contact Fiona Rambridge if you are interested: <a href=\"mailto:F.Rambridge@lancaster.ac.uk\">F.Rambridge@lancaster.ac.uk<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Fiona Rambridge<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Free Large Whiteboard and Pens<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>I&#8217;ve got a quite large whiteboard to get rid of as I&#8217;m moving out soon and don&#8217;t want to take it with me. Free to anyone that wants it.<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s about 100cm x 60cm (or about 3ft by 2ft if you prefer).<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s in good condition, the surface is a bit scratched with some residual ink but it&#8217;s perfectly useable. Pens and wiper included.<\/p>\n<p><strong>James Keen<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Performance Development Reviews for 2017\/2018<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The 2017\/18 Performance Development Review (PDR) cycle is drawing to a close. All Lancaster University staff employed for more than 12 months continuously, including those on fixed-term contracts, are expected to take part in the PDR process. Staff who are on probation do not need to have a PDR but please read the section on probation below.<\/p>\n<p>For full information on PDR policy, guidance and PDR forms please visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lancaster.ac.uk\/pdr\/\">http:\/\/www.lancaster.ac.uk\/pdr\/<\/a> Research staff should use the Professional Services PDR form.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Grainne Wilkinson<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>FAO New staff and their line managers &#8211; probation<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Line managers should note that if they are managing a new non-academic (i.e. admin\/ technical \/ research) member of staff then regular reviews need to take place and paperwork completed. \u00a0There are two forms to complete \u2013 an initial PDR form and a Probation Review form (the latter at four months and eight months). An agenda will be circulated in due course.<\/p>\n<p>Attendance is mandatory for academic staff so please hold the date.
