Risk assessment forms
A reminder to all those who produce risk assessments that we need to use the current document template from the University Safety Office.
From the staff intranet A to Z listing – Health and safety – Risk Assessment – scroll down to ‘5 step’ risk assessment form.
If everyone has the same form, although the quality of each risk assessment is variable, the University can have assurance that the same questions are being asked (and hopefully addressed) across the institution.

Facilities work
We have been informed of the following work.
Emergency Lighting Testing in Physics Building will take place week commencing 27th January 2020 from 9am daily.
Every month there is a quick test to ensure all Emergency Lighting fittings are operational. This involves a quick visual test. In residences, this applies to corridors and kitchens. There are longer, more involved tests at 6 month and 12 month intervals.
