Alliance of World Scientists
A group of scientists mainly in the US, headed by a Distinguished Professor of Ecology at Oregon State University, have formed an “Alliance of world scientists” in order to give scientists an opportunity to participate in a co-ordinated, interdisciplinary response to the climate emergency. There’s a letter that you can read (it takes perhaps 10 minutes depending on how much of the supporting documentation you wish to peruse) and sign if you wish. The intention is to publish both the letter and the signatures and to present them to governmental bodies, for example the US congress.
So far there are 11,000 scientist signatories from 153 countries.
The website with the letter is here:

Car parking spaces on Physics AV
The car parking spaces that are corded off down Physics AV will be back in use after the 27 September. The contractors were to have a compound in the underpass. But this deemed to be unsafe, and was relocated to Physics AV with no notice. This is what has just been communicated to me from facilities.
