Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) has started in Physics Building.
The PAT tester will be calling on you soon in both offices and laboratories.
Please can you help the tester by making all electrical equipment accessible i.e. remove items from drawers, cupboards,
filing cabinets etc.
Please power down office computers etc. at the end of the day and laboratory equipment if at all possible when asked.
Your cooperation will help make this operation run smoothly.

FAO New staff and their line managers – probation
Line managers should note that if they are managing a new non-academic (i.e. admin/ technical / research) member of staff then regular reviews need to take place and paperwork completed. There are two forms to complete – an initial PDR form and a Probation Review form (the latter at four months and eight months). Please visit the “Managing the Probation Period” of this webpage http://www.lancaster.ac.uk/hr/recruitment/inductionIndex.html and scroll down to the Non Academic Staff Probation section for guidance and the forms.

Room Bookings for Physics Building
Please could everyone ensure that they delete any room bookings that they have no longer need. Some staff are finding that they are having to book rooms in other buildings unnecessarily.
