Our qualitative interviews with 100 doctors in our case study sites are now complete, and we have been sharing the learning with colleagues at national and international conferences.
In June, PI Liz Brewster was invited to join the British Academy conference Post-crisis professionalism at the University of Birmingham, with an international audience. She spoke on Intergenerational professionalism in a time of NHS crisis and contributed to discussions with colleagues from the UK, Netherlands, Columbia, Australia and the USA, amongst others.
In July, Liz will also present findings from the data, thinking about what makes doctors stay in under-doctored areas. The implications around retention, as well as recruitment will be shared in the Workforce stream of the HSR UK 2024 conference in Oxford.
