In June 2023, Dr Liz Brewster, along with Professor Louise Locock, Dr Chris Clark, and Dr Andrew Maclaren, will present some initial findings from Mapping Doctors at the Changing Practice, Changing Outcomes: National Centre for Remote and Rural Medicine Conference 2023 in Penrith. Under the theme‘Moving, staying and leaving: staffing remote and rural healthcare’ she will share insights from current research in the UK into what attracts healthcare staff to work in remote/rural areas, analysing what encourages them to stay or leave.
