As a Library we take an innovative approach to information.In doing so we further the interests and ambitions of the University,contribute to the delivery of its strategy and enhance its reputation <\/em><\/p>\n

Mission Statement <\/strong><\/h5>\n

The mission of the Library is to provide high quality services in support of the University’s research, teaching, learning and third mission activities. The mission is underpinned by certain aims.<\/p>\n

Information <\/strong><\/h5>\n

To satisfy from its own or from outside resources the information needs of all staff and students of the University, whether in the Library building, elsewhere on campus, or beyond; and to play a key role in developing and supporting an information-literate University.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Delivery <\/strong><\/h5>\n

To acquire, manage, preserve and deliver information resources in the most appropriate format and by the most effective means, in support of the University’s research, teaching, learning, and third mission.<\/p>\n

Collaboration <\/strong><\/h5>\n

To collaborate within the institution and beyond in researching and developing information services, resources and technologies.<\/p>\n

Outside Services <\/strong><\/h5>\n

To make services available to individuals and organisations outside the University and participate actively in regional and national reciprocal arrangements, subject to third party licence constraints and the maintenance of effective provision for staff and students of the University.<\/p>\n
