\u00a0We are delighted to announce the 10th Lancaster International Conference on Infant and Early Child Development (LCICD 2026) will run on 26-28 August 2026!<\/b><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

We are excited to announce LCICD 2026, which will be the 10th anniversary of LCICD, and will once again take place at Lancaster University, UK, home to one of Europe\u2019s most established and renowned Infant and Child Development labs (the ICDL). Our goal for this conference is to offer a welcoming, research-focused environment for infant and child development researchers (from prenatal to 4 years) across a broad range of interests and methodologies, and at all stages of their careers. LCICD is a single-track conference with dedicated poster sessions, including \u2018no-results-yet\u2019 posters for early-career researchers, and is known for its relaxed and friendly atmosphere.<\/p>\n

Conference Submissions\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Conference Submissions
\nWe invite abstract submissions<\/a><\/strong> relating to any aspect of prenatal, infant and early child development (prenatal \u2013 4 years old) including perceptual and cognitive development, early language development and social development. We encourage submissions across the whole range of methods used in studying these populations. We will also consider abstracts reporting on later (preschool) development if they show relevance to understanding infant development. Alongside established researchers, we welcome attendance and submissions from early career researchers (MSc\/PhD students) who wish to engage with other researchers in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere and present their work as posters even if they have not got any results yet. Please refer to the key dates<\/a><\/strong> section of this website to ensure abstracts are submitted before the deadline. Abstracts should be a maximum of 400 words (including references)<\/strong> and will be reviewed by the conference committee with all decisions based on the scientific quality of the abstracts submitted.<\/p>\n

Financial Support<\/strong><\/p>\n

Discounted rates of \u00a3100 are available for early career researchers (MSc\/PhD students, postdoctoral researchers) who would otherwise find it difficult to attend the conference.
