Where to find us during the conference<\/strong><\/p>\n

You can register from 8:30am at the Management School main entrance<\/a>. Talks will be held in Lecture Theatre 15<\/a> , poster sessions will be in the West Pavilion Foyer <\/a>and catering will be in the Lecture Theatre 19 and nearby break-out space<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The conference dinner will be at Barker House Farm (located south of campus)<\/a> an 8min walk from the Management School. Click here for directions.<\/a><\/p>\n

You will get the opportunity to visit our Lancaster Babylab<\/a> for an informal lab tour on Friday 29th August (2-3pm).<\/p>\n

Accommodation<\/strong><\/p>\n

There is a range of accommodation available both on campus and in the town.<\/p>\n

On Campus: B&B accommodation can be booked in the University halls of residence. There are a range of rooms available and can be booked here<\/a>.
\nAlso on campus is our fantastic Lancaster House Hotel<\/a>. For a slightly discounted rate, please reference that you are attending an event hosted by Lancaster University.<\/p>\n

In the city, 15 minutes bus ride away there are several options:
\nThe Borough<\/a>, 3 Dalton Square Lancaster, LA 1 IPP, Tel 01524 64170. Housed in a historic building in the centre of town, with a lovely atmosphere serving good food and drink.
\nThe Sun Hotel<\/a>, 63 \u2013 65 Church Street, Lancaster LA11ET, Tel 01524 66006. Featuring a restaurant with a lovely atmosphere serving good food and drink.
\nLancaster Central Travelodge<\/a>, King St, Lancaster LA1 1RE.

Travel<\/strong><\/p>\n

By Air
\nFrom Manchester International Airport take the M56 motorway at Junction 5 and join the M6 motorway at Junction 20 (north), then follow the \u2018By Car\u2019 directions below.Alternatively, take the train \u2013 an hourly rail link runs directly between Manchester Airport and Lancaster. For train times, visit National Rail Enquiries<\/a>.<\/p>\n

By Rail
\nThere are direct rail links between Lancaster and many of the UK\u2019s major cities and airports. For train times, visit National Rail Enquiries<\/a>. The 4 bus service operates between Lancaster Railway Station and Lancaster University every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday day times. There is a limited hourly service on Sunday evenings in term time. Taxis are available at the station, which is a five minute walk from the city centre. Taxi ranks are also available on campus.Local taxi services provide accessible vehicles and offer both male and female drivers.<\/p>\n

By Car [we will provide visitor parking passes. Please get your pass at the registration desk]
\nLeave the M6 motorway at Junction 33 and take the A6 north towards Lancaster.For Lancaster University main campus \u2013 turn right at the third set of junction traffic lights on the A6 into the University main drive.Take the first exit left from the roundabout at the top of the main drive, then the first avenue on your right. This brings you to the Security Lodge where staff will direct you to your destination on campus.For Alexandra Park (south west of campus) \u2013 turn right at the second set of junction traffic lights on the A6 into Hazelrigg Lane and turn left at the roundabout into Alexandra Park Drive.You can use either the RAC<\/a> or AA<\/a> route planners to view and print directions for your journey.If using an online route planner or satnav, please note that the University postcode is LA1 4YW.<\/p>\n

By Bus
\nFor bus information visit the Stagecoach website<\/a> for current timetables and further information. Alternatively, call \u2018Traveline\u2019 on 0871 200 22 33. In the City: The bus station is situated on Damside Street in the City Centre and most services also stop at Common Garden Street. Service 1\/1A provides a direct connection to the University every 10 minutes (term time), Services 100, 4, 4X, 40, 41 and 42 also serve the University, giving a total of 14 buses per hour from Monday to Saturday until 7pm. Additionally, Services 4 and 4X run every 30 minutes between the Railway Station and the University (Monday to Saturday daytimes). Single tickets cost \u00a32.00. Services 100 and 42, along with certain 4, 40 and 41, serve the southern perimeter road and Southwest Campus with the bus stopping right in front of the Management school.<\/p>\n

All buses drop off and collect passengers at the Chaplaincy Centre due to current construction work on the underpass (on the campus map<\/a>). You can refer to Lancaster University Travel Information<\/a> for further information on how to get here or use the Stagecoach app<\/a>.<\/p>\n
