About the Symposium

1st Call for Papers

The Department of Accounting and Finance at Lancaster University is delighted to announce that the 1st Lancaster Accounting Research and Policy Symposium will be held on 24 April 2026 (Friday), at the Lancaster Suite in the historic Lancaster Castle.

The symposium will bring together leading researchers, accounting professionals and policymakers to discuss contemporary issues in accounting research and their implications for policy making.

We invite the submission of papers on all topics of accounting that are relevant to accounting standard setters and other policy makers. Paper selection will be based on novelty and contribution to the accounting literature and policy making. Submitted papers must not have been previously published.

Registration

Attendance at the symposium does not attract a registration fee but is limited by room capacity. Participants are expected to cover their own travel costs.

Attendance is by registration. Participants will be notified by email once their registration has been confirmed.
