Carolyn Primett

Carolyn has worked on award-winning schemes including the TERN project on Morecambe seafront and the international design competition for Blackpool’s promenade with the acclaimed ‘Comedy Carpet’. She has led Blackpool Council’s Arts Service for the past eight years. Her expertise is in managing and curating artists, project management, fundraising, and business planning.

George Harris

George works as a creative & arts consultant and is inspired by the challenge of conceiving, developing and delivering imaginative solutions to creative, artistic, heritage and cultural opportunities. He is currently the Creative Producer of Light Up Lancaster.

Louise Bryning

Louise is passionate about promoting arts and heritage through events which are accessible, really capture the imagination and are fun. She has more than 20 years experience as a newspaper journalist and was Press and Marketing Officer for The Dukes in Lancaster for 8 years. She now works as a freelance journalist and media consultant. She is on the committee of the Friends of Lancaster City Museum and is a Freewoman of the City of Lancaster.

Helen Bartosinski

Helen began her career in London working in the classical music sector. After moving into music and commercial venue management, she returned to marketing with The Dukes Theatre in Lancaster in 2012, taking up the role of Marketing Manager. She is now a freelance Arts Marketing Consultant.

Steve Fairclough

Steve’s has a wealth of experience as a creative facilitator, actor, writer, director, coach, poet, voice over and project manager. He works with all ages and abilities, particularly community arts, new creatives and dementia. His love  of Arts & Heritage, Arts & Health, oral history and telling stories has seen him work with multiple NW theatres and arts organisations and he is also the driving force behind LA1 Shorts, Lancaster’s own premiere, longest running short film festival.

Lancaster University

Phil Cheeseman

Phil is the Associate Director for Associate Director (Teaching & Engagement) in the University Library. Phil was one of the initiators of the project.

Katie Waring

Katie is the Special Collections and Archives Manager in the University Library and is responsible for managing the rare books and archive collections in the Library. Katie was responsible for managing the collection of oral history and other materials which will be part of the final archive collection.

Liz Fawcett

Liz is the Senior Library Assistant with responsibility for the Special Collections and Archives at the University Library. Liz assisted Kate in the management of the oral history project.

Student Researchers

The project employed seven Lancaster University student researchers who conducted interviews, processed the recordings to make them accessible, created transcripts from the recordings. and assisted at engagement events during the project. Students included both undergraduates and postgraduates and came from a range of disciplines.

Tom Diffenthal & Lauren Paige-Dowling

You’re Most Welcome Ltd are a collaborative group of filmmakers and musicians (rounded up tom Diffenthal and Lauren Paige-Dowling) who work on Virtual Reality art projects focused on heritage music through fun and entertaining immersive technology. They developed the work Welcome to Lunarshire as part of the project.

Dan Fox – Sound Intervention

Dan Fox, Director of Sound Intervention is a sound artist, musician. film-maker and installation creator based in south Cumbria. Sound Intervention Ltd, a company which works on diverse projects, often outdoors, in public spaces with a network of visual artists, makers, musicians, and technicians, was formed by Dan in 2008. Dan, with Sound Intervention, developed the Voices from the Hood 2 installation for the project.

Matt Tully

Matthew Tully is a multi-disciplinary designer and maker based in Sheffield, UK. He is an associate practitioner with the award-winning theatre company, Imitating the Dog, and his work spans a broad range of media, including theatre, TV, advertising, art direction, music videos, and interactive design. Matt developed the Broken Records – The Phantom’s Playlist work for the project.
