Dr Bryan M. Williams is a Lecturer in Biometrics and Human Identification with the School of Computing and Communications at Lancaster University and honorary Lecturer in Ophthalmic Imaging with the University of Liverpool; he also holds an honorary contract with Royal Liverpool University Hospital for research in medical imaging. He obtained a PhD in mathematics from the University of Liverpool in 2015 and worked as a research associate at Universit\u00e4t des Saarlandes before returning to Liverpool as a research associate to work on medical device development. His research focusses on the development of automated image enhancement, analysis and processing techniques for medical<\/a> and biometric<\/a> applications. He is leading the ERC-funded research project H-Unique<\/a>, which aims to automate the identification of suspects from images of their hands.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
