Co-design workshops<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The co-design workshops<\/strong> will bring together people with different experiences to come up with new ideas for resources, policies, and practices for decision-making and consent.  We are looking for people with lived experience of gynae cancer, carers\/significant others\/people involved in decision-making, healthcare professionals and people from charities and support organisations to become co-designers. Healthcare professional focus groups<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The healthcare professional focus groups<\/strong> are an opportunity for healthcare professionals to discuss and reflect on their role in supporting patients with decision-making about radiotherapy treatment, and\/or who may play a role in processes of informed consent. This includes professionals who support patients after treatment\/non-treatment, when patients are living with the impacts of decisions, and when they may be considering the extent to which they felt informed about radiotherapy treatment and late effects. Carer focus groups<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The carer focus groups<\/strong> are open to people who have supported someone with gynae cancer. This could include partners and significant others, parents, daughters, sons, siblings, friends, or wider family. The focus group will be an opportunity to discuss and reflect on your role in supporting patients with decision-making about radiotherapy treatment. We will also discuss your thoughts on the information and support that was available to you both, including on side effects and long-term impacts. Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Panel:<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

We want to recruit an inclusive panel that represents a breadth of experience, identities, and communities, including anyone who could go on to develop a gynae cancer (and therefore might be referred for radiotherapy), anyone with lived experience of any gynae cancer (with or without experience of radiotherapy), and anyone who has cared for someone with any gynae cancer (with or without experience of radiotherapy). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will be a range of activities for panel members to get involved in, such as designing research activities, helping promote the research, carrying out interviews and interpreting data with the team, and attending steering groups and meetings. You don\u2019t need any special knowledge or skills to take part, and we can offer support and training to help you explore your interests as part of the project. You can participate remotely and as much or as little as works for you, from as little as 30 minutes to up to 2 days a month. You\u2019ll also be paid for your time.
