Meg – Intern at Copify

Meg – Intern at Copify

Meg studied English Literature and completed a master’s degree in English Literary Studies at Lancaster University. In the final year of her undergraduate course in 2021, Meg completed a 3-month internship, working as a Web Content Editor for Copify. She continued to work at the organisation as a Content Delivery Manager for just shy of 2 years.

So, what is Copify and what did you do as a Web content editor?

Copify is a marketing agency and a leading copywriting service based in Lancaster, sourcing quality content for their clientele in a variety of sectors. I created and edited web content, including blog posts, websites and product descriptions for small businesses across the UK, US and Australia.

How did the internship influence  your career goals and aspirations?

The experience solidified my interest in a writing career. Through this journey, starting with blogs and website content, I have continued to work in this field and gained valuable experience and  skills.

Following on, what are you doing now?

I work for Marshall E-Learning Consultancy in Reading as an eLearning Content Writer. The consultancy firm is for diversity, inclusion and unconscious bias e-learning training and learning courses, and I write eLearning courses for leading universities and corporate organizations.

What advice would you give to prospective interns?

Seize the opportunity and make the most of the experience. Completing my FASS internship two years ago has led her to my current role, demonstrating the lasting impact of this valuable experience.
