The city is served by Lancaster Railway Station, with frequent direct trains to London (around 2.5 hours), Manchester, <span>Edinburgh, <\/span>and other major cities. For air travel, Manchester Airport is the closest major international hub, about an hour away by train or car.<\/p>\n<p>To get from Lancaster Train Station to Lancaster University campus, you have several options: bus, taxi, or a walk. The bus (services 4 and 4X, or 3A and X4) offers a direct route, running every 30 minutes and taking about 20-25 minutes. Taxis are readily available outside the entrance 2 adjacent to platform 3 (if not you can call taxi company number 01524 32090).
