This week’s LAEL pet of this week is Penny. Penny is owned by our Senior Lecturer in phonetics and phonology, Dr Claire Nance<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Penny<\/span> is 16.5 years old. Claire adopted her when she was 14 as her previous owner had to go into a care home. She has one good tooth but still loves food. She is almost completely deaf, but her favourite hobby is singing loudly whenever Claire is on a work call. She enjoys sitting on people and purrs almost constantly.<\/p>\n
