To bring in the Year of the Dragon, the department hosted a lunch on the 14th of February. This included a buffet as well as a calligraphy station for people to try their hand at writing in Hanzi. Huge thanks to the team at EDI for organising such a lovely event! Gallery:

To close out the Michaelmas term, the LAEL Department held a Christmas get together. There was a buffet lunch, mince pies and mulled wine on tap as staff and students celebrated the festive season by the tree. Happy Holidays everyone!   Gallery:
