Welcome to the DuckLing blog! Inspired by other fantastic blogs created in Linguistics departments far and wide, we decided to create DuckLing to share events and stories from our department here in the North West of England. The name DuckLing coined from our mutual love for ducks and linguistics here in Lancaster – we have lots of ducks on our campus, and linguists alike. Plus, who doesn’t love baby ducks?!
Our blog posts aim to show and tell what we have going on in the department, while giving extra insight into what our staff and students get up to, whether it be conference visits, VIVA success or social events.
