Exploring Maps and Memory

Do you love old maps? Are you interested in historical depictions of Lancashire and Cumbria? If so, then please join us. This session features interactive displays about the WWI in Lancaster and about old and new maps of Lancashire and the Lake District – including our Minecraft version of the Lake District! There’ll also be talks from experts from the Department of History and the Cumbria County History Trust, who’ll demonstrate how digital mapping is changing our understanding of our region’s past.
