From that, we developed this resource appraisal tool. After hearing people\u2019s experiences, we realised that a lot of people felt overwhelmed with the amount of resources claiming to support applicants through the DClin application\/ interview process. People we spoke to offered conflicting views on which resources were helpful or not, and we quickly realised that it\u2019s not one size fits all in this process. Therefore, we wanted to empower you to decide for yourself which resources you want to invest your time in.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">We wanted to help you develop your critical thinking skills to be able to understand, evaluate and apply these resources to your own experiences and learning. Critical thinking skills are essential in the work of a clinical psychologist, so why not start now!<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">We have put together six key questions to guide your thinking around the resources. We developed these questions through our own experiences, the experiences of other applicants and considering the competencies of a clinical psychologist. These questions are not an exhaustive list but may be a good place to start! In the green box, we have put some questions to ask yourself regarding each topic area, and in the red are some reflections to help give some context.
