It can be helpful to have a look at the specific universities you are interested in to see what their minimum entry requirements are.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-204 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/wp.lancs.ac.uk\/dclin-critical-applicant\/files\/2023\/12\/Untitled-design-2-1-e1701693333943-276x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"121\" height=\"132\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wp.lancs.ac.uk\/dclin-critical-applicant\/files\/2023\/12\/Untitled-design-2-1-e1701693333943-276x300.png 276w, https:\/\/wp.lancs.ac.uk\/dclin-critical-applicant\/files\/2023\/12\/Untitled-design-2-1-e1701693333943.png 309w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 121px) 100vw, 121px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>For example:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Some universities may require you to have completed <strong>postgraduate study<\/strong> (depending upon your undergraduate degree classification)<\/li>\n<li>Some universities may require you to have <strong>worked in the NHS<\/strong> for a specific period of time<\/li>\n<li>Some universities may require that you have<strong> completed additional research<\/strong> to that of your undergraduate degree<\/li>\n<li>Some universities may require <strong>none<\/strong> of these additional experiences<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It can<strong> vary so much<\/strong> as to what is given weight at any particular university, so it is really important to be mindful of this when looking at applying for a place. We have created the below diagram to highlight a few of the potential routes that you may take in order to gain experience, though there are so many more. It can be really exciting that there is not one strict pathway that you have to take in order to be successful in gaining a place, though it can also be daunting if you don&#8217;t know where to focus upon next.
