The places, or ‘sites’, where plays are performed have an immeasurable impact on how audiences interact with and perceive those plays.

As part of its research, ‘Shakespeare and his Sisters’ has so far focused on two particular sites, namely Penshurst Place in Kent, and Lancaster Castle in the City of Lancaster.
