Molly loved her time at Lancaster, so much in fact that she chose to extend her three year undergraduate course to a four year postgraduate course, highlighting the variety of modules available and the plethora of field trips as highlights. However, Molly was also exceptionally active in extra-curricular activites, captaining the Bowland women’s netball team, and acting as education and welfare officer for Bowland JCR; gaining skills from both academia and her social life, such as communication and presenting, which are now fundamental to her role at United Utilities.

Adam was unsure of what he wanted to do post-graduation, but the opportunity arose via his network to work for an innovative energy firm, a decision on which he has not looked back on since. Adam’s time at Lancaster helped him prepare for this role by vastly improving his communication and report-writing skills, which are now fundamental to his job role.

Sarah chose to study at Lancaster because of the Environment Centre, and she mostly enjoyed the filed trips offered by the university, which allowed her to put into practice the practical skills and knowledge that she acquired. Beyond academics, Sarah was also a student ambassador, and volunteered for the Nightline service, interacting with new people regularly and making a plethora of long-term friendships.
