Heather Guy graduated with a first class MSci degree in Natural Sciences (Physics and Environmental Science) in 2015. Heather completed two summer placements with the UK Met Office. Read about Heather’s experience, and how she was able to land these competitive placement opportunities.
Dr Amy Valach, who recently finished a PhD in Environmental Science at Lancaster University, writes about her work as a research scientist at the Halley Research Station. Earlier this year she featured on a BBC Horizon programme about Halley, called “Ice Station”.
Dr Emily Cooper is currently a human geography lecturer at Northumbria University, after completing her undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in LEC.
I recently graduated in MSc Energy and the Environment from Lancaster University. During my Masters year, I was successful in securing an EMpower sponsored project with Nuclear New Build (NNB), part of EDF Energy in London. These projects offer the chance to spend three to five months with a company working in the nuclear industry.
