Utrraa Kumaru

Hey, I’m Utrraa, 21 years old, a first-year film student, at Sunway University. I‘m the kind of person who likes to find joy in the simplest of things. That being said, I believe the purpose of existence is to find peace in the flawed habitat of ours simply. I grew up with Indian Cinema which covers Bollywood, Kollywood, Tollywood and more. My hobby has always been watching Indian films and trying to decode the structure or development of the storyline. During my teenage years, I found interest in creating content and the detail of branding. I used to spend most of my time in a non-profit organization. I volunteered as the head of advertisement and branding coordinator of the organization and for their government-funded RM 600,000 worth of project in uplifting the lower income class society. Over time, it became my passion to serve the community with the skillsets I have. I learnt the basics of photography, videography and graphic designing in the NPO. I recently made my very first passion project, HASRAT. A film which revolves around siblings’ love.
