Pilgrimage

A digital illustration depicting the artist’s experience during pilgrimage to Makkah. The feeling that she wanted to portray in the beginning was the overwhelming sensation from the thousands of visitors that had came from all over the world, and being forced to share the same space with everyone having the same purpose in mind: to reach out to God. Amongst these many people who pushed and clawed their way to the surface to see that light they were seeking, and in this suffocation that felt like drowning under water, there was strangely stillness and quiet in herself as her mind focused on what she wanted to say to the Almighty.
