Seagarettes<\/span> is a captivating short film that follows the emotional journey of a Japanese student as he faces the terrifying possibility of graduation. In just under 13 minutes, viewers are immersed in the inner world of the protagonist, exploring themes of doubt, identity, and transformation. Shot in a 16:9 aspect ratio, the film encourages viewers to consider the universal experience of transformation and self-discovery. I’m<\/span> Ken, and I began making short films during the chaotic year of 2023, when I found myself lost. While my friends pursued their goals abroad, I remained unclear about my own destiny. I slipped into self-reflection and questioned whether my decision to study film was the right one. Should I go the usual way, study business, have a steady 9-to-5 job, and just work oversea.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

Graduation is a daunting reality. However, a pivotal moment came during the <\/span>Artbeast<\/span> event hosted by Sunway University and Lancaster University. Surrounded by student filmmakers, I discovered a shared sense of uncertainty. Suddenly, I <\/span>wasn’t<\/span> alone on my journey; I <\/span>wasn’t<\/span> the weird one.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

During the course of the event, transformative experiences occurred. Nature embraced me and revealed its peaceful beauty. I realized the importance of stopping, accepting, and soaking in the tranquility of my surroundings. It was a revelation\u2014a moment of deep happiness.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

Inspired by this newfound clarity, I recognized the therapeutic potential of filmmaking. I began to think of my films as personal diaries\u2014a means of capturing and expressing my emotions and thoughts. Thus, my short film script began to take shape, filled with reflections and reflections on my journey through life.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>
