I grew up with a fear of not hitting the standards that he sets. This fear eventually evolved into resentment as I <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun ContextualSpellingAndGrammarErrorV2Themed SCXW193537444 BCX0\">enter<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW193537444 BCX0\"> my adolescent years. Fights started to erupt, and we became more distant. During this time, I learned the many ways that he showed his love, through the <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW193537444 BCX0\">little things<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW193537444 BCX0\"> that matter. Until today, whenever <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW193537444 BCX0\">we\u2019re<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW193537444 BCX0\"> under the same roof, he would make sure that <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW193537444 BCX0\">I\u2019m<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW193537444 BCX0\"> kept warm in my room when <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW193537444 BCX0\">I\u2019m<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW193537444 BCX0\"> asleep. It is a recurring theme in my films, as <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW193537444 BCX0\">I believe these stories<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW193537444 BCX0\"> hold the most meaning and value. In a world where we see the same plots and stories <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW193537444 BCX0\">again and again<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW193537444 BCX0\">, untold stories give us a chance to see something new, to experience a new perspective that <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW193537444 BCX0\">hasn\u2019t<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW193537444 BCX0\"> been shared before. In MOTH, Hao Ran is introduced to many untold stories about his father. These stories change his <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW193537444 BCX0\">perception<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW193537444 BCX0\"> of the man that <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW193537444 BCX0\">he\u2019s<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW193537444 BCX0\"> resented for so long. Through this film, we show that untold stories are more than just stories, they are perspectives that can change how someone perceives the
