and writer who grew up on a diet of <i>Twin Peaks<\/i> in the depths of a strange Welsh community. Named a BAFTA Breakthrough, a \u2018Director to Watch\u2019 by Variety, and a Screen International \u2018Star of Tomorrow\u2019, Prano\u2019s strong body of work invokes imaginative worlds, fusing a dark vocabulary with eerie allure.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left\">Her feature debut\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt10329614\/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_7_nm_1_in_0_q_censor\">CENSOR<\/a> (2021), starring Niamh Algar (<i>The Virtues<\/i>, <i>Raised by Wolves<\/i>) and backed by Film4, the BFI and Ffilm Cymru Wales, had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, and in Europe at the Berlinale. CENSOR was nominated for 9 BIFA\u2019s and collected multiple awards including the M\u00e9li\u00e8s d\u2019Or at Sitges Film Festival. Prano was selected as one of the Observer\u2019s \u2018Faces of the Year\u2019 2022, whilst CENSOR had its own cover feature in Sight &amp; Sound, and was voted for by critics as one of the best British films of the 21st Century.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left\">An alumna of the Berlinale Talent Campus and BFI Network at London Film Festival, Prano cut her teeth in shorts and music videos, screening them around the world and to great acclaim. Her short film NASTY premiered at the BFI London Film Festival 2015 and went on to be selected for over 100 festivals.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left\">Prano is currently developing projects for film and television with Film4, Element Pictures, Number 9 Films, Anonymous Content, Duck Soup Films, and Ffilm Cymru Wales. She is represented as a writer-director by Casarotto Ramsay &amp; Associates, and in the USA by United Talent
