Since 2015 ARIP partnership members have been fortunate to benefit from the Commonwealth Professional Fellowship programme, a scheme that aims to empower mid-career professionals from low and middle-income Commonwealth countries by providing them with opportunities for professional development in the UK. Through a series of 6-week placements at Lancaster University the fellows have had opportunities to enhance their knowledge and skills within their respective sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme is designed to have a catalytic effect, enabling fellows to apply their acquired expertise to drive positive change and development upon returning to their home countries. In Lancaster sessions, are provided across a range of knowledge exchange, partnership building, entrepreneurship and innovation topics alongside excursions to relevant organisations and events across North-west England and elsewhere in the UK. Each fellow is required to develop their own bespoke action plan to enable transformational change upon their return and is provided with support and guidance to complete their plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
