Telos: Inspiring 2morrow’s problem solvers
Located within a 6.5 ha regeneration zone east of Lancaster city centre along the Lancaster Canal, the project forms part of the City Council’s current ambition to transform derelict, underutilised, and fragmented land into a multifunctional, sustainable, and vibrant neighbourhood.
With arts and culture emerging as one of the community’s strongest aspirations, the project proposes a Learning Hub for Applied Arts and Design. The hub will offer digital and physical craft facilities, tools, and equipment. Conceived as an intergenerational space for sharing skills, knowledge, and passion, it is designed to be a place where creativity, collaboration, and connection can thrive. The spaces have been designed to be as open as constraints allow.
Finally, the project also reinforces the vital link between the city centre and the canal, a connection already adopted in the official master plan.
