Within our\u00a0roundtable format, key contributors will present arguments, thoughts, case studies etc, for discussion and deliberation. Our aim is to maximise discussion and engagement around the table, and to promote meaningful exchange to advance understanding of the questions under discussion.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wp.lancs.ac.uk\/acorn\/events\/roundtable-1-strathclyde-march-2018-what-mapping-the-contours-of-clinical-judgement-best-interests-and-judgments-of-conscience\/\">Roundtable 1<\/a> &#8211; University of Strathclyde &#8211; held in March 2018.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wp.lancs.ac.uk\/acorn\/events\/roundtable-2-cardiff-november-2018-why-exploring-healthcare-as-a-special-case-what-is-it-about-the-healthcare-context-that-makes-it-appropriate-or-necessary-t\/\">Roundtable 2<\/a> &#8211; Cardiff University &#8211; to be held in November 2018.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wp.lancs.ac.uk\/acorn\/events\/roundtable-3-manchester-june-2019-how-exploring-the-options-for-effecting-protection-providing-for-conscience-in-law-and-professional-guidance\/\">Roundtable 3<\/a> &#8211; Lancaster University &#8211; to be held in June 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Roundtable 4 &#8211; University of Strathclyde &#8211; to be held in March 2020.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Outputs<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>We have edited a special issue on conscientious objection in health care for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tandfonline.com\/toc\/ynbi20\/25\/3?nav=tocList\"><em>The New Bioethics: A Multidisciplinary Journal of Biotechnology and the Body,<\/em><\/a> including articles by ACoRN core participants and presenters at Roundtables 1 and 2.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;text-decoration: underline\"><strong>International events<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>We organised a panel session at the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities, Pittsburgh, USA, October 24-27 2019.
