PAIN AND ITS KILLERS<\/span><\/p>\n

relief<\/span>
\n is<\/span>
\n an\u00a0<\/span>
\n acceptable inevitable storm-head alarm<\/span>
\n that holds back its rain<\/span>
\n and mumbles thunder instead<\/span><\/p>\n

a hard-sell of cotton ignorance<\/span>
\n on the sofa that’s the world<\/span><\/p>\n

MOON<\/span><\/p>\n

the days hurt<\/span>
\n and<\/span>
\n the nights – well\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

they’re a VHS video-nasty<\/span>
\n trembling on pause<\/span><\/p>\n

I only hope\u00a0<\/span>
\n the<\/span>
\n the<\/span>
\n moon<\/span>
\n knows<\/span>
\n why I yell at him<\/span><\/p>\n

FAR FAR AWAY<\/span><\/p>\n

drugs argue\u00a0<\/span>
\n in my blood<\/span>
\n and<\/span>
\n bedside drawer<\/span><\/p>\n

like married pensioners and their TV shows<\/span><\/p>\n

I<\/span>
\n just<\/span>
\n wish<\/span>
\n they could get along<\/span><\/p>\n

far far away<\/span>
\n without me<\/span><\/p>\n

ITS THE WAY I TELL THEM<\/span><\/p>\n

I told the Dr<\/span>
\n that it all hurts SO much<\/span>
\n and I’m SO tired SO much<\/span>
\n and its SO very hard to THINK now<\/span>
\n that it makes me want to CRY<\/span>
\n but I CAN’T cry<\/span>
\n I told the Dr<\/span>
\n cos of all the antidepressants<\/span><\/p>\n

and she barked involuntary laughter<\/span>
\n and suggested I swim<\/span><\/p>\n
