Biography

Rebecca Krasnik (b. 1987) is an artist and independent curator, working with an investigative approach to the images we make of our world, and a quest for the experience of time embedded in them.

Rebecca Krasnik has received the Danish Arts Foundation’s Working Grant (2020+2021), City of Aarhus’ Production Grant (2021) and the VSC Artist Grant for her residency at Vermont Studio Center in USA (2019). Most recently, she was awarded a stay at the Institute of San Cataldo, IT (2021), as well as at CCA Andratx, Mallorca, Spain (2022) and was nominated for the Queen Sonja Print Award (2022).

Rebecca Krasnik has shown her work in solo and group exhibitions in New York City, London, Warsaw, Aarhus and Copenhagen. 

Originally from Copenhagen Rebecca Krasnik holds an MFA in Photography and Related Media from School of Visual Arts in New York City, USA (2018) and a BA (Hons) in Photographic Arts from University of Westminster in London, UK (2013). She is a member of The Danish Royal Academy’s Artists’ Society and UKK (Association of Independent Artists and Curators, DK).

Rebecca Krasnik is the founder of the curatorial project Lazed Leaves, which places artworks in relaxed positions on couches in private homes (www.lazedleaves.today). As well as being the head of the curatorial board at Bladr – a platform for artists’ book in Copenhagen, DK.

Rebecca Krasnik lives and works in Copenhagen, Denmark.
