STARS conference 2020 invitation
All current STARS students are expected to attend and present their research. We will be able to support 1 supervisor per student; however, further funding may be available for additional supervisors so please enquire and we will do our best to accommodate. All former STARS students are also very welcome to attend and present.
Conference registration will open at 12.30pm on Monday 20th January, followed by lunch and an opportunity to network. The conference will commence at 2pm. On the evening of Tuesday 21st there will be a conference dinner which will include an acknowledgement of former STARS students’ achievements and plenty of time to socialise afterwards. The conference will end at 4pm on Wednesday 22nd January
We anticipate 3 exciting days, each with their own focus on policy, industry and media with relevant keynote speakers, workshops and presentations. Before the main activities of the conference begin, there will be some informal social activities taking place on the morning of Monday 20th January, for those who wish to take part.
Abstracts must be submitted via the link provided, before the closing date of Friday November 1st. Make sure you clearly show your preference for an oral or poster presentation. Oral presentations will comprise of a 10-minute presentation with 5 minutes for questions and those presenting posters will be given 1 minute to pitch them. Registration to attend must be completed via the link provided no later than Tuesday 3rd of December.
Attending the conference, including transport, accommodation and meals, is fully funded for STARS students, primary supervisors (or a nominated alternative supervisor) and the STARS Management board. Others are welcome to attend the conference on a self funded basis.
