STARS film on the art of good communication

The STARS CDT has produced another short film addressing the importance of effective communication of scientific research to stakeholders, policy makers and end users. The film features STARS students discussing their experiences of communication, from government policy briefings to practical advice for farmers. As well as the students, we hear from experts in the field of communication, academics and the STARS innovation fellow. There is an emphasis on the development of PhD students to equip them for work as entrepreneurs and policy makers, widening their horizons beyond academia. Students are challenged to consider the world beyond their PhD, to plan the best way to make use of the research training they have received.
