Starting in the Panopticon in C Wing of the former prison, this workshop\u00a0explored surveillance – spying and watching – in the Vienna of Measure for Measure. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

We then moved to A Wing and met with actors from Demi-Paradise\u2019s production of the play staged in the courtrooms and cells of the Castle. Because Measure for Measure <\/em>dramatizes scenes of judgement, sentencing and imminent execution, the cells in A Wing provided an ideal site for us to explore how Shakespeare dramatizes issues of justice, imprisonment and freedom.<\/p>\n
