One of the largest DDos(Distributed Denial of Service) Attack took place in 2015 with the power of 500gbps. To put this into context that is over 5 times the bandwidth of the whole of Lancaster University!
I do agree with this article in that there must be two parts to this. Enterprises must have a backup incase their backend servers go down but being a DDOS as opposed to a DOS, why are the numbers of computers/networks getting compromised and their bandwidth hijacked? This is very interesting.
