The Open Connectivity Foundation (OCF) says its main goal is to “help unify IoT standards so that companies and developers can create IoT solutions and devices that work seamlessly together.
The problem with the Internet Of Things is that much of the devices have been developed using bespoke(insecure/untested) protocols, leaving gaping holes in user privacy.
Not only that but these IoT devices are often unable to communicate with each other, leading to having useless IoT devices. Each foundation has the same vision to connect billions of devices together, but none can decided who will head the movement.
