The resource was tested in schools in the north of England and will continue to be applied, e.g. by school teachers, museums (e.g. Lancaster City Museum resources public talk scheduled for March 2020), and university lecturers, relating to English as second language.<\/p>\n<div class=\"_3d-flip-book  fb3d-fullscreen-mode full-size\" data-id=\"0\" data-mode=\"fullscreen\" data-title=\"false\" data-template=\"short-white-book-view\" data-lightbox=\"dark-shadow\" data-urlparam=\"fb3d-page\" data-page-n=\"0\" data-pdf=\"http:\/\/wp.lancs.ac.uk\/reopen\/files\/2019\/06\/TRACES-Online-Resource-final.pdf\" data-tax=\"null\" data-thumbnail=\"\" data-cols=\"3\" data-book-template=\"default\" data-trigger=\"\"><\/div>\n<p>Dr Lackovic worked with English teacher Steph Weber (Queen Elizabeth School\/QES) with the support of QES librarian Gemma Sosnowsky and Aileen McEvoy (LICAF (Lakes International Comic Art Festival management), to develop this learning and teaching toolkit that applies critical thinking and pedagogy principles with graphic novels, and in particular \u201cTraces of the Great War\u201d anthology.<\/p>\n<p>The resources are relevant to general exploration of war and conflict, suporting a humanistic attitude of &#8220;never to be repeated&#8221;, acknowledging the complexity and plurality of war experiences.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTraces of the Great War\u201d is a remarkable collection of thought provoking graphic narratives, by internationally acclaimed comic book artists, graphic novelists and writers, which explores the continued relevance and resonance of the First World War and its aftermath in our lives today. It consists of 18 short stories. It was commissioned by 14-18 NOW, the UK\u2019s arts programme for the First World War centenary, La Mission du centenaire de la Premi\u00e8re Guerre mondiale, On a March\u00e9 Sur Le Bulle and Lakes International Comic Art Festival.
