We are scientists working at Lancaster Environment Centre. Our research
with a wide variety of crops aims to address environmental challenges.

TEAM\u00a0Fascination of Plants 2024<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Ingrid Robertson<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is a plant physiologist who works with cowpea. She measures photosynthesis of this important crop plant in response to light and shade.<\/p>

Dawn Worrall<\/strong><\/a><\/p>

Bridget O’Boyle<\/strong>\u00a0has a background in plant biology and now works as an Assistant Editor on scientific journals. She has a keen interest in science communication and belongs to the\u00a0STEM Ambassadors programme<\/a>\u00a0which aims to inform and inspire young people about science and scientific careers.<\/p>

Supreeta Vijayakumar<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>is a computational and systems biologist. She is developing new approaches for computational modelling of plant metabolism at the genome scale, with the aim of predicting pathway modifications to improve photosynthetic performance and productivity in potatoes and rice.<\/p>
