Lancaster University Phonetics Lab is based in the Department of Linguistics and English Language at Lancaster University.

We specialise in speech acoustics & articulation, forensic speech science, speech technology, sociophonetics, bilingualism, and minority languages. Our research group meets regularly and our facilities are used by staff, undergraduates and postgraduates working on phonetics projects.

We are also affiliated with Soundscape Voice Evidence, which is a private forensic speech science consultancy based in the department.
