{"id":39,"date":"2018-03-05T15:01:13","date_gmt":"2018-03-05T15:01:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wp.lancs.ac.uk\/phd-studentship\/?page_id=39"},"modified":"2021-01-27T12:04:58","modified_gmt":"2021-01-27T12:04:58","slug":"eligibility-criteria","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/wp.lancs.ac.uk\/phd-studentship\/eligibility-criteria\/","title":{"rendered":"Eligibility criteria"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><strong>Academic eligibility<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The candidates must have an undergraduate qualification of good standard and have completed or be in the process of completing a relevant postgraduate (Master&#8217;s) degree in Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Language Testing, Corpus Linguistics, Language Learning and Teaching, or other relevant subject areas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;color: #000000\"><strong>Residential eligibility<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-size: 12pt\">This PhD studentship is open to both Home and International (including EU and EEA) candidates. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000;font-size: 12pt\">To be considered as a Home candidate, the candidates must satisfy the following residential\u00a0 requirements:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Candidates must be a UK National (meeting residency requirements), or<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Have settled status, or<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Have pre-settled status (meeting residency requirements), or<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Have indefinite leave to remain or enter.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The candidates with different residential status (not meeting one of the requirements above) will be considered as International candidates.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Please note that while this\u00a0 PhD studentship is open to both Home and International (including EU and EEA) candidates, the studentship will only cover tuition fees up to the Home rate. This is \u00a34,407 in 2020\/21 (exact rate for 2021\/22 subject to confirmation from UKRI). International tuition fees are usually substantially higher than this sum.
