To apply for the PhD studentship award, you need to complete the following two steps:
1. Complete a standard PhD online application. Submit your application through the Lancaster University online submission system which can be accessed here. In the application, please search for the following degree: Linguistics PhD and select full-time and October 2021 start.
You will need to upload the following documents:
- CV (including educational qualifications and details of two referees, one of which should be able to comment on your recent academic performance)
- Application Statement explaining your suitability for this research project (including information about how you meet the studentship eligibility criteria)
- Personal Statement explaining your motivation for applying for this PhD studentship
In the online application form, please upload the application statement explaining your suitability for the research project instead of the research proposal. In the Source of Funding section, indicate ‘ESRC CASE studentship – Linguistics’.
2. Email your application documents to Dr Dana Gablasova (d.gablasova@lancaster.ac.uk). Please also ask your two referees to email the reference letters to Dr Gablasova directly as soon as possible in order to help with the processing of the application.
The deadline for the application is Tuesday, 6th April 2021, 5pm (UK time). Interviews with shortlisted candidates are expected to take place online in the weeks beginning 12th and 19th April 2021.
