Orientation to UK Study

This event is for students who are new to UK study, both undergraduate and postgraduate taught, as well as students who are returning to study after a period outside full-time education. An alternative time slot is available on Thursday 3rd October.
This session focuses on some of the typical challenges experienced by students who come from educational cultures outside the UK or who have been out of education for a while. We will focus on:
- Independent and active learning
- Developing a critical approach
- Referencing and avoiding plagiarism
- Understanding grading and assessment
- Where to find support
